Meeting on the Beach

I had a nice walk on the beach and was turning into the dunes and there I saw this little fellow. As soon as my shadow felt over him his tail went up and he stood still. I had to get my camera real close but he didn't move, thanks for that. The first photo is out of focus but I want you to see it anyway, the other picture is better but it's not a great position. lol.

"Birds"

Early in the morning looking over my fence this is what I saw. It is almost like Alfred Hitchcock's movie. Click the icon and see all other Camera Critters.

Butterfly Garden

We visited a butterfly garden and it was a perfect place for trying out my close-up converter. I took a lot of pictures but these are the best. The auto focus is the problem but manual is difficult also.

Take off

This Pheasant landed in our small garden, after an inspection of our living room and kitchen she went back outside but the hedge and fence seemed to high for a good "take off". It took at least one our before she finally gave it a try and succeeded. Click the icon for more fantastic Camera Critters.

Artificial life?

Last summer we were in Friesland and there I saw this remarkable farmhouse surrounded by real size plastic animals including plastic poop to make it more realistic. This is only possible in Friesland!!!!!!!! (lol) I think this is a nice one for "Camera Critters" not exactly by the rules but I'll give it a try. For more "Camera Critters" click the icon.

Pheasant

I think it's time for a bird. This is what I found in my archive, a photo of a Pheasant in a harvested cornfield.

Long shadows

Herinner je je nog de schapenboet? Hier zoals beloofd dan de schapen, niet bij de schapenboet maar in de duinen.

Can you remember the sheepbarn? As promised now the sheep, not near the sheepbarn but in the dunes.

"Wild life" ???????

Deze koeien (Schotse hooglanders, ja ik heb ze daar gezien) lopen in de Texelse duinen. Meestal zoek ik een andere weg als ik ze tegen kom, volgens mij zijn ze niet echt betrouwbaar.

These cows (Scottish highlanders, yes I have seen them there) live in the Texel dune area. When they are on my path I go another way, I think they are not very reliable. From origin they don't belong here. For more information about "Texelse duinen" click here.

Vlinder

Dit is de enige vlinder die ik gefotografeerd heb dit jaar, ik heb er ook niet veel gezien.

This is the only butterfly I photographed this year, I didn't see many.
