What a pretty pretty picture, I love it--and I love the sky below! :-D :-D :-D
lovely take on the sky, lateral thinking! And those water irises are great.
I am afraid the ocean will take the dike. Water and sky will be one.
Great shot Dick.~Oswegan
Hello again. The storm didn`t cause any damage here either. Not at my place. We don`t have dikes here.
how beautiful. Yellow flags?
What does a dike guard do exactly? nice photo.
A beautiful photo...I love the relections of the Irises in the water. I hope the weather didn't affect you too badly.Have a peaceful weekend
(Neva) Dike guards (500 were mobilized) give alarm as soon the situation becomes critical. The smallest leak is in no time a very large leak, prevention is the best thing to do. There were no problems now. See also the story of "Hans Brinker". http://www.thehollandring.com/hans-brinker-story.shtml
I was wondering if the stories are true about the little leaks and I see that they are....thanks for answering!....glad things are good now....All of my flowers-except a pot of geraniums I brought in-are gone...the iris looks lovely here.
Nice picture! Those dikes really worry me so I'm glad we don't have to think about them here. Of course there are other things just as bad.
