Afternoon Sun

Well seen Emery, this is a Dragonfly warming up in the afternoon Sun. The shrub was for the largest part still green but there was a small part with autumn colors. The insects seemed to like this more than the green leaves. Perhaps it is the reflection of the sunlight.

Very nice photograph. I really like that dragon fly.

To answer your question about how to find the first pictures.

You can click on any of the soldier's names and that will bring up all of the photos that soldier has online now. If you want to see all of the photos on the blog, then click on the archive link. Since you were there I have added several including Nagasaki and Hiroshima atomic bombed cities and several others.

Your cameras must be more than adequate because your pictures are stunning!

I have no pictures of a dragonfly this nice.

I too like to go out on my bike. (But I also go in a car and on a motorcycle.) Or on foot!

Really nice shot. I don't ever see any dragonflies around here.

I forgot to answer your question. My dictionary says a cob web is a web spun by a spider. I asked google what the difference was between a cob web and a spider web and got all kinds of weird answers.

Wonderful colors on both of these shots.

I'm guessing we have found each other via JoAnn from Naarden, whom I just met a week ago, Dick. It's a small world after all! It's always fun to find someone else who enjoys photography!

Een libelle toch? Nee ik had het niet gezien op de andere foto ,de vleugels zijn ook kristal scherp. Erg mooi!

We also have this kind of autumnal sunshine these days but I guess you may already have a bit cold weather.
