Oorspronkelijk kwam de Paardebloem alleen in Europa en Azie voor maar is nu verspreid over de hele wereld. De bloei is bij ons in mei maar dit jaar was alles eerder dus ook de Paardebloem. Na de bloei onstaat de pluizige bol waarin per bloem zeker 100 zaden zitten dus op dit hele veld al ontelbaar, op Texel nog meer ontelbaar, op de hele wereld, wie wil het nog weten?

now I know why the first photo was titled "before". I like this picture too. as kids we used to call the white fluffy seeds "little suns". I always thought they looked like fairies when the wind blew them away!

my wee boy has just been blowing them just the other day. i used to blow them into the wind when i was a wee man..
