August walk

Already a month ago when I did this walk, the heather was still in bloom, on my way I almost stepped on this little bird, I didn't see a nest or parent birds, I put him in a safer place just beside the path, maybe it was not the right thing to do but I was afraid someone else might not see him.

Awwwww. Cute little guy, I loved it very much! Now I won't sleep tonight worrying about your little birdie as you saved him from the jaws of death. Well done Dick.

Oh saving little birdies... that rings a bell ;)

The heather fields look amazing. Is there where the butterflies live?

The heather is so pretty. This might sound crazy but I didn't even know heather grew there. I just always associate it with Scotland.
The bird is a cutie. I hope its mama found him.

We have heather in Connecticut, but I rarely see feilds of it like that. Lovely find. I love the soft texture of the first shot.

You asked about HDR when you visited my photo blog (hhtp://rothphotos.blogspot.com) and I left you a too lengthy answer with my thoughts on the subject. I'm interested if you have any reaction.

My overall view of HDR is that it can be well-used and abused. I hope my HDR images do not scream, "HDR processing," as if it were a kind of pointillistic wash poured over a photograph. If any do look that way, I want people to tell me so immediately.

Dick amazing landscape view, and thank God you didn't step on this poor little baby bird. Amazing photography, Anna :)

Gorgeous view of the heather - a slightly different look from Yorkshire or Scottish heather but lovely all the same.

The bird is so cute and fluffy! I hope it lived. My daughter gave me several heather plants for my birthday a few years ago but I killed them all. It was different from yours. I'll see yours when I come to Texel. haha.

Hi Dick! Another week has passed without a chance to drop by. It seems time runs faster when you get to a certain age... ;)
Amazing colours and cute little bird!!

Blogtrotter is trying to have fun in the Turkish Riviera. Enjoy and have a marvellous weekend!

When I first saw the heather I thought you were in Scotland where we have lots of it. I hope the little chick found it's Mum. I'm going to visit again to see more of your lovely shots.

It reminded me of Scotland in full bloom. Just lovely and it turns a deep purple as the sun sets. Oh lovely little birdie ...
