Floating on Air

This is one of two hot air balloons that came over the roof of our neighbours house, I went to the attic and took this shot. In the background a beautiful Sunset/sky. Please visit the other Skywatchers (click the icon) and don't forget to leave a comment there.

No this picture has nothing to do with SWF but it is the original photo of my previous post. I promised to show it and now you know the secret of the "water painting".

I always love to see those balloons. They bring good luck (they must do, why else are they so pretty?). I never saw one that close though! Great photo.

The contrast between colorful balloon and colorful sky is awesome. And the art you created with your water painting is very cool. Great idea!

Hi Dick, I loved your reflection photo and the original is fabulous. Your hot air balloon is great! Did it land in your neighborhood? That happened once in ours and the lucky(?) home owner received a bottle of champagne for the "inconvenience" of having a hot air balloon in his back yard!

Oh the balloon makes me feel light as a feather.
Both your photos are just awesome!

Dick, this is great stuff. I am totally wowed by the two pics of the water painting. That takes a great eye and a good camera, and I'd say you have got them both in spades. Also a spectacular SW picture - reminds me of growing up in the CA wine country - balloons over the vineyards, sometimes having to make funny landings on the roads... Happy SWF!! Bonnie

Thanks for revealing the secret - it doesn't spoil the mystery in any way at all.

Because of all the planes in our skies we never see a balloon.

I saw the water painting some time ago and was flummoxed.

Those balloons come over here very low too. The noise can be quite frightening.

I love balloons. In Cappadoccia region of Turkey it is organized balloon tours in order to show gorgeous panorama for interested ones, g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s!
As for myself, yet not experienced having such a tour, hope one day soon.

A gorgeous soft sky to accompany the balloon, great one !! The waterpainting is inspiring. En erg leuk van eens een taalgenoot te ontmoeten op de skywatch.

We have those in the neighbourhood sometimes, but since there was an accident once, I am kind of sceptical to take a ride on these baloons, lol. Great capture, Anna :)
