"Lady of the Rings"

It has nothing to do with J.R.R. Tolkien's epos but it is a "Ringsteek" competition in Den Burg (Texel). There is not much to tell about it, have a look at the photos (more than usual but they belong together) and you see what it's all about. Is this a typical Dutch game or is it in your place too? This is my post #200, never expected to get this far.

I've never heard of this game but given the opportunity I think it would be something I'd enjoy. Interesting pictures!

Hi ! First of all many thanks for your comment on my post of 08.08.08 at 08h08 at Blogtrotter, now in Kos, Greece! It was great to read you there. Second, sorry for the long delay to come here, but August was a terribly busy month, as everybody else seems to be in vacation… ;))
Anyhow, I found sometime now to land here and enjoy your blog. Congrats on 200th!! Great treat!
Amazing game, quite fashion... ;)

Wish you a great weekend!

Hello Dick,

Now I can see what you've been talking about. Beautifull pictures. But perhaps it is better to mention to the people that this is not the way we normally dress.

Congrats on post #200. I'm up around 500, but I no longer keep Archives as it is too time consuming to weed them out later on.
Great photos. I haven't heard of the game, but I love the photo of the three horses ... they are gorgeous.

Congratulation both with the £200 - and with the post as such. No, we don't have anything like that around here. Looks fun!

Ah, one lady was successful (and you too, taking her photo)

Congratulations Dick and what some lovely shots and as above said, one lady was successful.

I know about this game.

Dick I promised that I would find the answer to download (or upload) MD but I met the wrong daughter. However she said that you should burn them on a CD. Is this of some help? We are thinking of doing exactly that.

Congrats to Your 200:e post, little cyber brother ;-))

We don't have that game here in Sweden our Viking games are not that silent and pretty - we always scream sing or hit on something or someone ;-)
