An area on the water where there are dried marshes?
Whatever, it's a neat shot! I'll be back to see if you reveal the answer.

good shot. Grass reflected in water

Grass in the water, a pond perhaps and there is a lot of pollen on the surface. (At least it seems so)

Normal size I thought I was seeing sticks in the water. Enlarging the picture, I am wondering if it is plants and sticks in the snow? It actually hurts my eyes enlarged.
I do see an "F" and a lot of other lines.

Mooi gedaan Dick,

I see dead plant stems sticking up out of a stagnant pond. Some look like letters or stick figures.
It makes an interesting picture and one that I'm not surprised that you thought to take.
Great job in seeing a great shot in that.

Het lijkt mij afgemaaid riet. De foto is gemaakt op een bewolkte dag denk ik, maar dat geeft een mooi effect.

These are cut reed plants in a pond. There was something on the surface maybe pollen but I didn't have a closer look.
Thanks for your comments.

I'm a little late viewing and you've given the answer and I suppose it is easy to say that it is indeed what I thought it was, although I thought it might have been flood water rather than a permanent pond.

Pond life ... reminds me of the sticks and stones poem.
Or puddles and mud pies.

I love photos that make you think. The simplest thing can make a great photograph. Well done.

I really like your blog and have commented on several of your fine photographs. I thought I had added you to my "Check it Out - Favorites" Blog roll, but didn't find you there.

I will add you again. I alway enjoy a visit here to see fine photography and unusual subjects.

Have a great week,
Troy

I quickly scrolled down through the comments so that I wouldn't be influenced by others' ideas. Here's mine: Leafless stalks in water, reflected. It's splendid, Dick, like all of your posts.

By the way, I do not ride on carnival rides--too much motion for me.
