Wow. You must have had a lot of rain and even more soil erosion to expose the root system like this. The trees are still alive I guess but I wonder how long they can live if this erosion continues. It is a compelling photo.

The first photo haves a great atmosphere ...
As for the place where you took the photos is that in a place near the sea?
I ask this because here in Portugal whe have trees like this who grow near the sea and the soil is mainly sand.
