Wow. You must have had a lot of rain and even more soil erosion to expose the root system like this. The trees are still alive I guess but I wonder how long they can live if this erosion continues. It is a compelling photo.
The first photo haves a great atmosphere ... As for the place where you took the photos is that in a place near the sea? I ask this because here in Portugal whe have trees like this who grow near the sea and the soil is mainly sand.
In the stillness of the wilderness, we do hear things....could it be a squirrel? A deer? A bear? A dog? A coyote? Or could it be a tree walking around? Awesome roots!
