And still a few more months. The snow is nice but it brings many problems, It's melting away under the rain here. Lovely pics of Texel under the snow!

Yup ... it certainly is. Love all these photos but the middle one is my favorite ... just because.
Hugs and blessings,

WOW! I love the snow pictures, the textures and shapes--and the empty lonely roads, too.

Never thought of it, but I guess the sheep stay outside in winter? Love the 3rd pic, but glad I don't have to wade through that -you almost need a snow mobile!

and it's look beautiful!!

Great snaps Dick. Buit I feel so sorry for the sheep. Wish I could adopt one.

Beautiful snowy scenes.
At least the sheep have nice warm coats on!

fraaie foto's van ons wonderschone eiland. Doet me denken aan vroeger, toen er bijna alle jaren een pak sneeuw lag.

Leni - yes it looks great but it was nicer last summer, don't you think so too?

Donna - Actually the pictures were much more blue, I don't know why but I suppose it has something to do with the automatic white balance of the camera.
Hugs.

Storyteller - I like this one the best too although it's not a very clear picture, much dirt on the car's windows. I didn't go out the car because I stopped on a slope and there was ice and snow all around.

Mary - I guess you know everything about snow and ice, I visit your blog as soon as possible.

Jeannette - Yes they do but when it's really bad they will have a place to hide, like the famous Texel sheep barns.

Vaggelis - It is but it's enough for now, lol.

Amrita - They can stand a lot of cold, your place is probably much too warm, they wouldn't like it.

Karen - They have warm coats indeed.
Have a look at this site and you can see what they make of the wool.
Unfortunately the site is not in english.

There are more sites, if you are interested I can send you some more.

The snow pictures are wonderful. Our snow is about gone. It is warm enough to melt now.

Dick, summer in texel is always nice, but last summer was exceptional! ;)

Alie - Zo zie je maar weer "de aanhouder wint".

Abraham - Thanks, I hope it will melt soon here too.

Leni - Yes it was indeed.

Like one of my mom's beautiful handknit blankets:) Yes still winter out there, and I'm afraid very cold weather upon us, Dick:( I'm searching who sent us this cold weather suddenly, lol:) Yet not falling snow but probably the voice as if snow at door?

Before forgetting, many thanks for your nice comments on my articles. I must have forgotten to add a note, those images inserted in my most recent post are the ones come up from a press newsletter. Not my own. The pink tulip photo is only taken by myself in last year's Int'l Ist Tulip Festival.

Wishing you a warm, cozy Sunday indoors, and oh my fur coat, where is it? Have to find it urgently!

Beautiful snow shots. What is causing all of the curves in the third shot? We are down to the dregs of the last snow storm, but a new snow is coming in now. By morning I'm hoping for a new wonderland.

I seem to recognize the condition :-)
You have caught it well - my favourite is the first one.

Nihal - I hope you won't get too much snow and cold but you never know.

Gerald - Thanks it was an adventure to get the pictures.

Monique - It's almost gone here now, it took only a few days.

Joann - Beautiful indeed, the farm in the background is my place of birth.

Ted - It's drifting or blowing snow, I don't know the english word for it.

Kerri - It's a little bit warmer here too but still cold.

RuneE - I suppose it's much colder in your beautiful country.

Hi Dick
I like your winter. Its been unusually warm here with rain, only one or two major snow falls but only below knees. Your pictures are stunning, the country side during winter is amazing. Anna :)
