Close to Heaven

I took this picture in the Sagrada Familia, maybe it will take hundred years or more before it's finished. Click the link if you like to see more.

Yes, this amazing cathedral has been under construction and still has a way to go, I know. It's part of the beauty, and the chance that we all will see a great cathedral when finished. So I don't complaining.

Oh forgot this footnote. Acc to wiki, it keeps say that the building works (current status) are expected to be completed around 2026??!

I've never heard of this so when I clicked on the link to discover what the scaffolding was hiding I was quite amazed.

The reason for this is that the construction is financed with donations and tickets sold to visit this temple. And the crisis is hitting hard now. I even doubt it will be finished in 2026.

It is a mamoth structure. Wonder what it will look like when it is finished.

That's amazing that the building process has been going on for so long. At first glace of the picture I thought it was fire.

Fraaie foto. Ondanks de wirwar van buizen, geeft deze foto een prachtige blik op de techniek van het steigerbouwen. Een onderdeel van de bouw, welke vaak onderschat wordt. Ook de weerspiegeling van de zon versterkt deze foto.

Those towers are a work of art-wow -amazing! Thanks for giving us the link.

Read (finally today) your personal profile, and since you are in construction, what do you think about the tunnel underneath for the high speed train! Will it effect this church building?

I guess I will never see it finished, probably I'm too old then to go there again.
