What a gorgeous shot. I have no idea what it is though - it reminds me of a little red hand grenade ... one of nature's perhaps.

Hi Dick!

Red is my favourite colour, the colour of passion and that late fruit you pictured together with the romantic song, makes me think it will be Valentine's Day in just 14 days. My wild imagination just started thinking of a lovely dance cheek to cheek with a very special person (*sigh*).

BTW, is that the fruit of a rose? ;) It looks so outstanding, with the blurred image of the green branches behind...

Heyyy Dick, what a GORGEOUS topic for the new month, february. Yes, we entered in the month of 'red'.
By the way, our weather wants to imitate yours, lol. The Sun does not warm up, very cold but red posts like this make our day 'sunny'.
Hope your having nice weekend-

Sing: "Ein Männlein steht im Walde .." - a song: "~ There is a little man in the wood with a little red cap ..."

As nice an example of the importance of a spot red in a picture as I have seen for a long time.

If your world looks as bland as mine at this season, I understand your love of color. This is quite dramatic. What is it? There's nothing quite like that in CT that I'm aware of.
