"Louis" being an early riser, caught San Francisco waking up. Louis attributes the camera shake to (A) it was still early enough that "Louis's" caffeine meter was not yet out of the red zone and (B) the lack of a tripod for a shot like this....
Hi Dick! Back home and profiting from the Lisbon’s Day holiday (St. Anthony of Lisbon, not Padua), I’m trying to catch up your posts (What a nice week: June 10th, Portugal’s Day; June 13th, Lisbon’s Day… ;)). Wonderful shot! Loved to see the mountain also! And now I'm going to watch the France-Netherlands on TV... ;)) Thanks for your comments at Blogtrotter, which is now landed in Santiago de Compostela, Spain! Hope you enjoy, and have a nice weekend!
A wonderful photo. It reminds me of the island of Norderney where a friend of mine lives. http://norderney-tagebuch.de/ I think the Frisian islands look much alike.
Hartelijk gefeliciteerd for yesterday evening. The Oranjes played phantastically and it looks like they will win the cup.
I love the contrast between the monochrome of the sky and brown and green of the land. This is one of those shots that defy the limits of photography. I've been struggling myself to learn to use graduated ND filters the way the pros do bring the brightness range of sky and land within the range of the photo sensor, but the filters are very cumbersome. You've done a great job without them.
En weer zo'n prachtige foto. Ik denk niet dat ik je hierin kan evenaren. Zelfs niet met mijn nieuwe Olympus SP-579UZ (en deze keuze is voor jou een verrassing niet waar?). Willem
