I like Dot's "Sky Watch Friday" idea and this Friday I join. A Spitfire Mark IX which was present at the Texel airshow this year. Engine: Rolls Royce Merlin 224 - 1720 HP.
Dick that's a really nice photo! Looks like you have a good zoom also. I took my first plane in the sky picture a couple days ago and after seeing yours and a couple others I don't think I'll ever use it but I will keep trying. I'm putting your name on the Sky Watch blog roll and you post whenever you can.
Hi Dick, Ja ik ben er weer, een prachtige foto van een hobby vlieger? Ben jij daarin geinteresserd? f toval dat je 'm zag... gewoon vraag uit interesse...
HI!:) I am back from my short trip to South of Italy, thanks for 'not forgetting me' I posted an overview of pictures from my holiday , soon more... Have a great sunday!!!

Love to travel on airplanes rather than taking pictures of them, but this is a great shot, Dick!

Nice shot.
Cool. I am also an aircraft fanatic, and was planning to post some in coming weeks for Skywatch!
Nice capture of that plane. And such a beautiful blue sky.

Hi Dick, pleased to meet you via Dot.
My father in law was a navigator in the war, but on the Wellington.
Would you believe I bought my hubby some "Spitfire " sausages from the butchers! LOL! Well we will see how the day goes...he had one for breakfast!

PS Check our ABC Wednesday...next week it is something beginning with "O"
