Abe, of course I use Photoshop and some other programms to improve the pictures.<BR/><BR/>I do not know why the helpers of Sinterklaas are black but probably it has something to do with an old Spanish tradition. The Pete (Piet) wearing blue clothes is the master Pete, an important job I should say. When I was a child they told us if you were a bad child the black Petes take you back to Spain and throw you in the Pepernoten (round ginger bread-like cookies) mill to make next years Pepernoten. Not very nice but it didn't stop us eating them.
